As preparations intensify for the November 8, 2025, governorship election in Anambra State, a major support group under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), known as the Anambra Patriots for Soludo (APS), has declared full support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election bid.
The group, during an endorsement rally held at the International Convention Centre, Awka, called on all non indigenes living in the state to rally behind the incumbent governor and ensure continuity in governance.

The non-indigenes, drawn from various ethnic backgrounds including Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Edo, Igala, Akwa Ibom/Cross River, and other communities across Nigeria, attended under the umbrella of the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State.
According to the group, their endorsement is a testament to Soludo’s “all-inclusive style of leadership” and a call for him to continue his developmental agenda for the state.

Ezeibe Commends Soludo’s Transformational Leadership
In his keynote address, the National Convener of APS, Okey Ezeibe, described Governor Soludo as a visionary and result-driven leader who has transformed Anambra through evidence-based governance.
Ezeibe said the group’s decision to back the governor’s second-term bid was informed by his “commendable achievements” over the past three and a half years, particularly in infrastructure, education, and socio economic development.
“The governor’s performance speaks volumes. His reforms have brought visible progress to every sector,” Ezeibe stated. “We appreciate the non indigenes for their solidarity and urge them to remain steadfast during the election.”
Miyetti Allah Leader Lauds Soludo’s Inclusivity
Also speaking, the Deputy National Director of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and Siriki Fulani of Awka, Alhaji Gidado Siddikki, praised Governor Soludo’s unwavering dedication to inclusive governance.
Siddikki highlighted the governor’s consistent efforts to bridge infrastructural gaps and improve welfare for both indigenes and non-indigenes alike.
“Governor Soludo is a leader who truly carries everyone along. His commitment to fairness and development is evident, and such leadership deserves continuity,” Siddikki affirmed.
Soludo: ‘Once You Live in Anambra, You Are From Anambra’
Responding to the endorsement, Governor Chukwuma Soludo expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to unity and collective progress.
He emphasized that citizenship should transcend ethnic lines, urging Nigerians to uphold the spirit of shared responsibility and active participation in democratic governance.
“We must go beyond slogans like ‘In brotherhood we stand’. We need to live it out daily,” Soludo said. “Once you live in Anambra, you are from Anambra. Everyone here is treated equally.”
Governor Highlights Key Achievements
Reflecting on his administration’s achievements, Soludo revealed that within his first nine months in office, over 8,115 teachers were recruited from 18 states across Nigeria, a move that underscores his inclusive governance policy.
He also mentioned his administration’s free education initiative for pupils and students in all government primary and secondary schools, as well as free antenatal and delivery services in public health facilities across the state.
“These services are available to all indigenes and non indigenes alike. We are building a state where everyone belongs,” he added.
A Call to Action
Governor Soludo encouraged residents to actively participate in the upcoming election, stressing that civic engagement is a shared duty.
“Wherever you live should be your home. It is every citizen’s duty to vote come November 8,” the governor urged.
He noted that, for the first time in the state’s history, citizens have taken ownership of the campaign by voluntarily donating funds to support the cause, reflecting their belief in the administration’s vision.
“We are only at the introductory phase of Anambra’s development. With collective effort, we will build a state that mirrors our shared values and aspirations,” he concluded.
High-Profile Attendance
The endorsement rally was attended by top government officials, political leaders, and APGA supporters from across Anambra State, marking a strong show of unity ahead of the forthcoming polls.
